Hello, I'm Colin Ward. I've been working with computers since they hit the desktop over 25 years ago. I'm not a computer geek, but someone who sees computer training and Internet training as a way of not only helping to improve business profitability and efficiency, but also enhancing leisure time activities and communications with family and friends.
In business
This may come as a bit of a shock to some, but if you have a business no matter how small you need a computer and connection to the Internet. You have to know how to use them effectively, to contact existing customers and promote your business to potential customers, find cheaper suppliers, do your accounts, manage your banking, print your promotional materials create digital products, receive payments ........ Then, when you've made a profit, look up a holiday online.
In the home
I seems as if life gets more complicated everyday. Many people are reluctant to tackle yet another "whiz-bang gadget" and shy away from computers because they are "too complicated". Perhaps you can't see how they can be of any "real benefit" to your every day life. Well let me tell you, that my 79 year old mother-in-law video-call's on the computer to her children and grand children in Australia, and to my wife in France. When I asked my six year old grandson how old his favourite footballer was, without hesitation, he went over to the computer, searched the internet and came back five minutes later with the answer "22".
Training in France
I'm Based in the Dordogne in the Aquitaine region of France. I work with the long established computer company SDG based in the town of Ribérac offering a range of computer and Internet training to the English speaking community. Training can also be delevered in the UK by arrangement or over the Internet world-wide.
